Auctioneer C.F.Moore was to auction several lots at the Talbot on 28th February, lot number 1 being 'Three cottages with the gardens thereto belonging, adjoining the Almshouse in the Green, Tetbury, and in respective occupations of Mrs Mary Poole, John Lawe and William Mills.'  Lot 2 was three more cottages with the gardens thereto belonging, adjoining the last lot, and in the respective occupations of George Wilkins, Samuel Brasington and Susannah Curtis.

Fielder Rich and Sons advertising a sale of many properties in the town had amongst its lots 'Lot 6 - two cottages [now let as one] situate in The Green adjoining Zoar Chapel in the occupation of Mr Brooks at £5 4s a year the tenancy being weekly.'  This was part of the estate of the late Charles Brown.
